Release Notes - AutoScript Platform - April 15, 2024
You may notice that a few things have changed when you log into AutoScript Web (ASW) and AutoScript Desktop (ASD) on April 15, 2024. Here is a summary of the changes and additions.
Changes and Improvements
- IMPORTANT: Due to requirements for all of the changes and new features, the way you open a job in ASD from ASW has changed for ALL users. (READ MORE HERE)
- Brand new versioning system. This includes changes to ASW and ASD.
- Each user who opens a job from ASW will automatically create a new version of the job that pertains to their role in the job. READ MORE HERE
- Agency Operations personnel can revert to a previous version of the job, to include going back to the original Speech to Text (STT). READ MORE HERE
- ASD uploads to ASW are now verified to avoid corrupted uploads READ MORE HERE
- The current status of each version can be previewed with a handy DOCX download link. READ MORE HERE
- Track Changes will be enabled by default on all new jobs opened in ASD. Your role in an organization will affect your view of those changes and the ability to turn it off. READ MORE HERE
- New Save As option in ASD to provide options regarding tracked changes. READ MORE HERE
- ASD will now automatically upload job changes to ASW at the same time that is does an auto-save on the user's computer. READ MORE HERE
- An improved payment confirmation screen on ASW. It's now more informative and interactive. READ MORE HERE
- Job Assignment dialog now filters to workspace members automatically and includes buttons to filter down to a specific team. READ MORE HERE
- Audio files are now analyzed when you upload them to detect common problems. At this time we detect files with no audio as well as corrupted files. In the future we'll be able to do even more. READ MORE HERE
- As part of the audio analysis, you will now see the length of the file(s) you upload. This will help prevent mistakes if the time doesn't match the expected length. READ MORE HERE
- Bug fixes related to permissions in both ASW and ASD.
New Features
- Job Details now includes an on-page audio player to preview the audio files for that job. READ MORE HERE
- New ability to change job status from within ASD. READ MORE HERE
- New metrics for each user, both per job and overall. This is most useful for agencies, but may be helpful to the individual as well to track time spent per job. READ MORE HERE
- New ability to set limits per user for how many jobs may be claimed at one time. READ MORE HERE
- Organizations with a need to invite multiple members at once can do so using a CSV file. READ MORE HERE
- New "Finalizing" status for jobs allows Operations personnel to coordinate efforts and to monitor their own progress and work load. READ MORE HERE
