As part of our new versioning system, we have improved the ability to upload your work from AutoScript Desktop (ASD) to AutoScript Web (ASW). This both provides the security of knowing you have a cloud backup of your work as well as enabling easy sharing of work with team members in an organization. The days of using email and web drives to share is in the past.
Automatic Uploads
ASD will now upload your work to ASW every time it performs a local auto-save. If you lose internet connection while you're working, your auto-saves will continue as normal. As soon as your internet is reconnected, the next auto-save will automatically upload to ASW again.
Manual Uploads
There are two ways in which you can manually upload your work to ASW. The first is to click the [Upload to AutoScript Web] button on the Home tab. The second method is presented when a user closes the program, and is explained in more detail in the
Save, Auto-Save, Backup, and Auto-Upload section of this user guide.
Additionally, every time you click the [Upload to AutoScript Web] button, your work is saved locally as if you'd clicked the [Save] button, thus saving a step.Complete Job
You will notice that there is a [Complete Job] button right next to the upload button on the Home tab. This button does triple duty!
1. It saves your work on your computer.
2. It uploads your work to ASW.
3. It marks as complete the current status of the job (Editing, Proofing, Finalizing) to save you a step in ASW.
