Why are the #@%&ing Swear Words Missing? (MS Word)

As we know, with a few exceptions, capturing the record in full is part of our job. And sometimes that includes transcribing swears or other words we may not like. As such, our transcripts do not censor these words. However, if you are editing in Microsoft Word, it may be censoring the transcript you've received from AutoScript. Here's how to disable that "feature" in Word.
  1. Open Word, click File, then Options.
  2. Select the Proofing tab.
  3. Click [Settings...] next to Grammar and Refinements.
  4. Scroll and find "Embarrassing Words" and de-select it.
  5. Click [OK] on both dialogs to save the settings change.
