Steps for Using AttorneyView

Warning
NOTE: You must have some real-time text on screen before inviting anyone. It can be as simple as "mic check 1 2 3", but there has to be some text on screen before inviting viewers or the session will not work in AttyView.

There are three methods for inviting attorneys to view a live stream of your real-time recording in AutoScriptOne


Preferred Method

This is the preferred method to circumvent any issues the attorneys may have with receiving an email invitation that may be marked as spam by their email provider, or with security protocols that may strip the link from the email.  
  1. Direct the attorney to navigate to https://attorney.autoscript.ai/login and create their free AttorneyView account. 

  2. From the dashboard of the AttorneyView account, ask them to click on the "Join Session" button.

  3. Make sure you have started the recording beforehand, so there is some text on the screen.  Click on the "Invite Attorney" button to open the Invite Attorney window.

  4. You will see a place to enter the Attorney’s email address. Enter their email address and click the Invite button. You will receive a confirmation window to click "Okay" on.  


  5. Select and copy the passcode displayed in the list next to their email address or read it to them.

  6. The Attorney Will
• Click on "Join Session" from their dashboard.
• Enter the passcode and click on "Join".  

They will be taken directly into the live session.
On the reporter's Invite Attorney window, the reporter will see the status change to “connected”.



Method 2 - Email Invite

  1. The reporter should open ASOne and start a session as normal.  Remember, you must have some text on the screen to invite an attorney.
  2. Click on the "Invite Attorney" button to open the Attorney Streamer Invite window.

  3. You will see a place to enter the Attorney’s email address. Enter their email address and click the Invite button. You will receive a confirmation window to click "Okay" on.  
The Attorney Will
    1. The attorney will receive an email with a login link. 
    2. If they don't see the email in their inbox, ask them to check their Spam or Junk folders.
    3. After clicking the link, they will be taken to the Attorney Streamer Dashboard. They will navigate down to the Recording Sessions tab and click on it.

    4. They will click on the current session and be taken directly into the live session.
    5. On the Invite Attorney window, the reporter will see the status change to “connected”.

Method 3 - Using the Passcode Link

  1. Make sure you have started the recording beforehand, so there is some text on the screen.  Click on the "Invite Attorney" button to open the Attorney Streamer Invite window.

  2. You will see a place to enter the Attorney’s email address. Enter their email address and click the Invite button. You will receive a confirmation window to click "Okay" on.  
  3. Click the "Copy" icon next to the passcode to copy the passcode link.

  4. Send this link to the attorney. 
  5. The Attorney Will
    • Click on this link
    • Create an account (email will be pre-filled but editable)
    • Choose a password, and
    • Click Sign Up.  They will be taken directly into the live session.
  6. On the Attorney Streamer invite window, the reporter will see the status change to “connected”.
