Installing AutoScript Desktop - Setup.exe Isn't Normally Downloaded
Problem: When trying to download and install AutoScript Desktop, you see a message like, "setup.exe isn't normally downloaded."
Solution: This is a message from Windows Defender. We recommend that you use Chrome to open the autoscript.ai website and temporarily turn off Windows Defender to allow the download. To disable Windows Defender:
- Open the Start menu and click on the gear icon to open the Settings app.
- In the Settings app, select "Update & Security."
- From the left-hand menu, choose "Windows Security."
- Click on "Virus & threat protection" in the Windows Security window.
- Under "Virus & threat protection settings," click on "Manage settings."
- In the next window, toggle off the switch for "Real-time protection." This will temporarily disable Microsoft Defender.
