I Receive a JSON Error When I Try to Open AutoScript Desktop

Problem:  When I try to open AutoScript Desktop (ASD) I receive an error like, "the input does not contain any JSON tokens. expected the input to start with a valid JSON token, when isFinalBlock is true. Path: $ | LineNumber: 0 | BytePositionInLine: 0."

Solution:  This error only seems to occur when the user is very low on available disk space and ASD is unable to update its internal files properly. The result is that the files become corrupted and ASD cannot operate properly. The solution is two-fold:
1. You will need to clear space on your hard drive, or maybe even upgrade to a larger hard drive.
2. You will need to fully remove (not just uninstall) all of the ASD files on your computer. If you are unsure of how to safely do this, please use the Request Help link above to schedule a Zoom meeting with one of our support specialists. We will help you back up your jobs and layouts before we help remove all ASD files for a clean reinstallation.
