If you are the owner or representative of an organization there are a few more steps needed to set up your account and your organization within AutoScript Web (ASW). We'll go through those steps here.
When it comes to creating an Organization in ASW, we highly recommend that you sign up for an ASW account using an organizational email, such as
admin@yourcompany.com, rather than a personal email account. Personnel come and go. Owners sometimes sell their company to another person or agency. To ensure your operations don't cease, it's best to use an email that will stay with the company regardless of changes in the faces behind the company. I will assume for the rest of this section that we are using such an email and user. In my examples, that person will be referred to as the Admin. My examples will demonstrate the Admin as she sets up the organization RemoteProofs, a fictional mid-size agency.
The Admin begins by following the Sign Up steps at the beginning of this manual. However, the Admin will use the organizational email address
admin@remoteproofs.com, she will enter RemoteProofs as the first name, Admin as the last name, and she will enter RemoteProofs in the Company name field of the sign up form. The Admin will receive the same confirmation email you saw earlier in the manual and she will click the button to verify the email account. After she logs in, she will see the following view in the top left section.
| She will follow the same basic My Account Setup steps as an individual user by clicking the initials button at the top right, clicking My Account, and making needed updates. She is not responsible for the billing, so she will not update that herself. Someone from the billing team will do that after the Admin is finished setting everything up. |
Next, the Admin will click on the gear icon next to "Details" under RemoteProofs to edit the setup for the organization. This is what she'll see.
NOTE - The areas circled in orange will be covered in a later section.
1. Just like a user account, the organization can have an image assigned to it. The Admin will use this to add the RemoteProofs logo.
2. If you need to correct or add something, like ", LLC" to the organization name, enter it here.
3. This is what will display in the address bar of the web browser when members of the organization are working within the organization in ASW. This cannot be changed. And, if the organization name has been used before, numbers will be appended automatically to differentiate them within the system.
4. After changes are made, the Admin will click [Save] to preserve those changes.
This is what the Admin will see after she's added the logo and edited the organization name.
A company logo looks great on the page, but it doesn't help RemoteProofs get work done. The Admin still needs to set up the organization's teams. | |
